Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our highly skilled and compassionate Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Orthopedic Total Joint Surgeon, you will join our well established, busy practice on the campus of St. Francis Hospital located between Seattle and Tacoma in Federal Way, WA. This exciting opportunity allows you to practice in a supportive, physician-led setting with access to cutting-edge technology and a robust referral network within a regional healthcare leader.

You will deliver comprehensive orthopedic care, with a specialized focus on total joint procedures, diagnosing, treating, and managing musculoskeletal conditions for diverse patient needs. To be successful in this role, you will be a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Orthopedic Total Joint Surgeon with a strong commitment to clinical superiority and patient-centered care.

  • Performing advanced surgical procedures with expertise in a wide range of orthopedic surgeries, specifically specializing in shoulder and other total joint cases.
  • Diagnosing, treating, and managing a comprehensive array of musculoskeletal conditions, with a focus on total joint replacement and reconstruction.
  • Ensuring patient-centered care through empathetic communication, clear treatment explanations, and prioritizing patient safety and satisfaction.
  • Collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams, referring physicians, and rehabilitation specialists to ensure seamless and integrated care pathways for total joint patients.
  • Maintaining clinical excellence by adhering to best practices, robustly participating in the 1-in- 4 call rotation, and upholding accurate medical documentation.
  • Committing to professional growth through active engagement in ongoing medical education, quality initiatives, and professional development related to total joint surgery.
  • Contributing to a collegial work environment and upholding the mission and values of Virginia Mason Franciscan Health.
  • Leveraging cutting-edge technology and a robust referral network within our established practice for total joint care.

We are offering a competitive base salary that includes a guaranteed base salary and production incentives, commencement bonus, along with a comprehensive benefits package including health and wellness benefits, 401k with match, malpractice insurance with tail coverage, CME allowance, relocation assistance, and potential eligibility for federal student loan forgiveness.


Job Requirements

Required

  • MD / DO from an accredited institution
  • Board Certified or Board-Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
  • Ability to obtain an unrestricted medical license in Washington

Preferred

    • Minimum of 3 years of post-residency experience preferred, but exceptional new graduates will be considered
