JOB DESCRIPTION — Alameda Health System is recruiting an Orthopedic Hand Attending Physician to serve the Level 1 Trauma Center, Highland Hospital, as well as the two community acute care facilities, San Leandro and Alameda Hospitals. Job responsibilities-The types of injuries that the provider will need to stabilize and potentially definitively treat include but are not limited to:
Policies/Procedures -Duty requirements include providing care to patients in the ambulatory, in-patient and operative settings across the Alameda Health System facilities. Weekly schedule and frequency of call will be coordinated at the discretion of the Chairman/Interim-Chairman of Orthopedics within the Department of Orthopedics. Each call day will consist of a 24-hour period that begins on 7:00am on the specified date and ends the next day at 7:00am.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) is required.
Minimum Experience: Completion of an approved residency in an appropriate specialty.
Required: Board Eligible or Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgerywith appropriate technical skills to manage both acute and subacute Level 1 Musculoskeletal Trauma and General Orthopedic pathology.
Required Licenses/Certifications: Possession of a valid license to practice medicine in the State of California.

Pay Range: $262.66/Hour - $273.18/Hour
The pay range for this position reflects the base pay scale for the role at Alameda Health System. Final compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, departmental equity, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and the operational needs of the organization.
