St. Josephs Health of Syracuse, New York is proud to announce the launch of our new hospital employed Orthopedic Surgery Program, and we are actively seeking a fellowship-trained, board-certified or board-eligible Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in Hand Surgery to join our growing team. This is an exceptional opportunity to become a founding member of a newly established, hospital-employed orthopedic group, giving you the chance to help shape the program from its inception!

Position Highlights:

  • Hospital-employed opportunity

  • Operate out of one hospital campus and affiliated ASC
  • Surgical PA support provided for enhanced efficiency and care delivery
  • Strong internal referral base from primary care, emergency medicine, and other surgical specialties.
  • Reasonable call schedule with dedicated hand call or shared orthopedic call depending on the structure.
  • High volume of elective and acute hand cases, including fractures, tendon injuries, nerve repairs, and microvascular procedures.
  • Protected block time in state-of-the-art operating rooms equipped for complex hand and upper extremity procedures.

Requirements:

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
  • Fellowship training in Hand Surgery
  • NYS medical license or eligibility
  • New grads are encouraged to apply!

Recruitment Package:

  • Compensation: $630,000-$760,000 base salary
  • The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and does not include productivity bonuses, incentives related to quality and performance, extra shift incentives, and other forms of cash compensation as applicable to the position. In addition, providers typically receive a CME allowance and other benefits offered by their medical group employer. Please note that this salary range is provided in accordance with State law and is subject to variation due to the factors noted above.
