Sentara Health is recruiting a third Orthopedic Surgeon to join an established and growing practice at Sentara Halifax Hospital in South Boston, Virginia — just one hour north of Raleigh/Durham, NC and two hours south of Richmond, VA.

This is an exciting opportunity to help build a Regional Center of Excellence within one of the nation's top health systems. You'll practice the full scope of orthopedic surgery alongside experienced colleagues in a fully integrated office located on the hospital campus. A new hospital is slated for completion in 2027.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $475,009.60 - $552,281.60 annually. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs. Note: If an annual salary is posted, it is based on a full-time colleague working 2,080 hours annually.
