Position Summary Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute West Region Position: Orthopedic Tech Derpartment: Orthopedics Status: Full Time - Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Location: Tampa, FL Job Summary: According to physician orders assembles and applies different types of casts and various braces. Responsibilities Essential Functions - Assists with transport of patients. - Performs any variation of the job that is directly related to the function of an orthopedic technician. • Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards. • Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures. Other Related Functions - Assists the orthopedic surgeons requested. - Participates in Quality Assurance (QA)/Quality Indicator (QI) as assigned. - Performs patient rounds, charting, charging, regular cleaning of equipment and in service education that is directly related to the orthopedic technician service. Qualifications Education/Training High school diploma or equivalent required. Licensure/Certification Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification. Experience None.
