Expected pay for this position is $18.98 - $22.34/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.

Overview:

POSITION SUMMARY: Orthopedic Technician is responsible for assisting in the application of casts, removal of casts including complex casting, orthopedic splints, and other devices in addition to providing basic care to patients. Works in both the clinical and front office functions of the practice providing clerical and assisting in the delivery of health care and patient care support activities. The Orthopedic Technician performs duties in accordance with the specific needs of the practice.

Qualifications:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  • High School/GED

 

Experience

  • Minimum of six months experience with computers, Microsoft Office, and email.
  • Minimum of six months health care facility clinical experience or clinical education (including enrollment or completion of OSF MSS MOA Bridge Program).
  •  

Other Skills/ Knowledge:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented. 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience:

  • Completion of a medical assistance program or equivalent.
  • Minimum of six months experience as a medical office assistant or CNA or equivalent.
  • Minimum of six months experience with an electronic health record system.
  • Some knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Licensure/ Certification: BLS
