Job Summary and Responsibilities

As ourOrthopedic Trauma Advanced Practitioner, you will be a pivotal asset inacute care patient management, deliveringcomprehensive orthopedic supportin a dynamic Phoenix, Arizona environment. Focused ontrauma surgery, you'll leverage your expertise as either aNurse PractitionerorPhysician Assistantto ensure optimal patient outcomes. This role is perfect for ahighly motivated healthcare professionalseeking an impactful position within anorthopedic surgical team.

Every day you willdrive inpatient orthopedic care, spanningpreoperative, perioperative, and postoperative phases. You will providecritical first assist supportin the operating room and manage24-hour first call rotationsamongst your peer PAs, ensuring rapid response for orthopedic emergencies. Your responsibilities will also includeinterdisciplinary roundingwith medical and trauma teams,ER patient consultationsfor accurate diagnosis and referrals, and theinterpretation of diagnostic teststo guide patient care plans.

To be successful in this role, you will possess a strong foundation inorthopedic trauma, demonstrating proficiency inmedication administration,physical therapy prescriptions, and actively participating inquality assurance and improvement initiatives. Your ability tocollaborate effectivelywithin amultidisciplinary healthcare teamand providepatient-centered carewill be essential. Job Requirements

Required

PA

  • Degree as a Physician Assistant (PA-C)
  • Active or eligible license in the state of Arizona
  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Must hold and maintain: a.) AZ Regulatory Board of Physician Assistants License, b.) NCCPA - National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant.
  • Valid DEA registration.
  • Must meet credentialing criteria for medical staff.
  • 3+ years Trauma experience is a MUST.

NP

  • Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN)
  • Active or eligible license in the state of Arizona
  • Graduate of accredited program for Nurse Practitioners
  • Compact state or Arizona RN license
  • Must hold and maintain National Certificate as a nurse practitioner in area of specialty under AZ regulations: a.) NP-AACN, b.) NP-AANP, c.) NP-ANCC
  • Valid DEA registration
  • RNFA
  • 3+ years Trauma experience.
  • Must meet credentialing criteria for medical staff
