Job Summary and Responsibilities

As ourOrthopedic Trauma Advanced Practitioner, you will be a vital contributor to ourPhoenix, Arizona-basedhealthcare team, delivering specializedacute orthopedic carefor patients with diverse conditions. ThisPer Diem Orthopedic NP/PArole focuses on expertinpatient surgical management, encompassing comprehensivepreoperative, perioperative, and postoperative care. Your expertise will be crucial intrauma care coordinationand ensuring optimal patient outcomes within a fast-paced environment.

Every day you will actively participate in arotating 24-hour first call schedulefor the Orthopedic service, expertlyfirst-assisting in orthopedic surgeries, and conducting thoroughinpatient rounds. You will be instrumental ininterdisciplinary care coordinationwith our Medical and Trauma teams, providing criticalER consultations, accuratediagnoses, and developing appropriatetreatment plans. Your responsibilities will further includeordering and interpreting diagnostic testsand prescribing necessarymedications and physical therapy.

We are seeking aPhysician Assistant (PA)orNurse Practitioner (NP)with a passion foracute careand a proven track record insurgical supportwithin the orthopedic specialty.

Job Requirements

Required

PA

  • Degree as a Physician Assistant (PA-C)
  • Active or eligible license in the state of Arizona
  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Must hold and maintain: a.) AZ Regulatory Board of Physician Assistants License, b.) NCCPA - National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant.
  • Valid DEA registration.
  • Must meet credentialing criteria for medical staff.
  • 3+ years Trauma experience.

NP

  • Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN)
  • Graduate of accredited program for Nurse Practitioners
  • Active or eligible license in the state of Arizona
  • Compact state or Arizona RN license
  • Must hold and maintain National Certificate as a nurse practitioner in area of specialty under AZ regulations: a.) NP-AACN, b.) NP-AANP, c.) NP-ANCC
  • Valid DEA registration
  • RNFA
  • 3+ years Trauma experience.
  • Must meet credentialing criteria for medical staff
