Job Summary and Responsibilities

As ourOrthopedic Trauma Advanced Practitioner, you will be a vital member of our acute care team in Phoenix, Arizona, providing unparalleled support to orthopedic trauma patients. This dynamic role on ourOrthopedic Trauma Surgeryservice offers an exceptional opportunity for a skilledNurse Practitioner (NP)orPhysician Assistant (PA)to make a significant impact on patient outcomes within a leadinghealthcare system. We are actively seeking a highly motivated and compassionate professional to contribute to our commitment topatient-centered careandorthopedic excellence.

Every day you will engage in comprehensive patient management, frompreoperative assessmentsandperioperative supportto meticulouspostoperative care. You'll take an active role in our rotating 24-hourOrthopedic First Call, collaborating with a team of 10 PAs to ensure continuous coverage. Your expertise will be essential as youfirst assist in orthopedic surgeries, conduct thoroughinpatient rounds, and expertly coordinateinterdisciplinary carewith our Medical and Trauma teams. Furthermore, you will manageER patient consultations, providing accurate diagnoses, developing appropriatetreatment plans, ordering and interpretingdiagnostic tests, and prescribing personalizedmedication regimensandphysical therapy.

To be successful in this role, you will possess strong clinical acumen inorthopedic trauma, demonstrating proficiency inacute care managementandsurgical assistance. You will be a collaborative team player, adept at working within amultidisciplinary environmentto optimizepatient care pathwaysand actively contribute to ourquality assuranceandquality improvement initiatives. Your ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting, coupled with exceptional communication and decision-making skills, will be critical in delivering the highest standard of care to ourtrauma patientsin ahospital setting.

Job Requirements

Required

PA

  • Degree as a Physician Assistant (PA-C)
  • Active or eligible license in the state of Arizona
  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Must hold and maintain: a.) AZ Regulatory Board of Physician Assistants License, b.) NCCPA - National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant
  • Valid DEA registration.
  • Must meet credentialing criteria for medical staff

NP

  • Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN)
  • Graduate of accredited program for Nurse Practitioners
  • Active or eligible license in the state of California
  • Compact state or Arizona RN license
  • Must hold and maintain National Certificate as a nurse practitioner in area of specialty under AZ regulations: a.) NP-AACN, b.) NP-AANP, c.) NP-ANCC
  • Valid DEA registration
  • RNFA
  • Must meet credentialing criteria for medical staff
