Occupational Therapist
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team at The Orchards at Douglas Cove in Douglas, Michigan. As an integral member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in helping our residents achieve and maintain their independence and overall well-being.
Responsibilities:
Conduct occupational therapy assessments and develop personalized treatment plans for residents
Implement and modify treatment plans to address cognitive, physical, and sensory deficits
Provide therapy sessions, including activities such as range of motion exercises, balance training, and cognitive stimulation
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
Develop and implement individualized care plans, setting short-term and long-term goals
Document resident progress and outcomes in a timely and accurate manner
Participate in care conferences and interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss resident needs and progress
Requirements:
A Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Michigan
Minimum 0 years of experience in an acute care or long-term care setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
