Responsibilities The Occupational Therapist II responsibilities include: Identification of signs and symptoms that signal appropriateness for OT examination. Conducting the actual examination, evaluation, planning, organizing, and implementing specific treatment programs for individual patients. Participating in case conferences and discharge planning. Developing and implementing developmentally and culturally appropriate education to meet the needs of the patient and family. Communicating effectively with other patient care team members and coordinating care provided. Supervising OT Assistants and rehab therapy aides. Coordinating/supervising student clinical educational experience. Work in an environment that involves critical care intervention and requires seven-day-a-week coverage. Therapist Level Determination Therapist Level II, III, or IV determination is based on essential behaviors, scope of clinical expertise, professional experience, advanced certifications or specialty practice, leadership activities, and contributions to education, research, or quality initiatives. QualificationsEducation Bachelors Degree in Occupational Therapy required. Masters Degree preferred. Doctoral Degree preferred. Experience 2 years of experience preferred. Licenses and Certifications OT - State of California Occupational Therapist License required. BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required.
