PURPOSE The OT Network Administrator will support the Operations Division Manufacturing and Warehousing by managing the OTIT infrastructure in throughout the manufacturing and warehouse distribution facilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Assist with managing, maintaining, and supporting the OTIT network infrastructure and related components.
  • Act as liaison between the SMC Operational Division and IT teams.
  • Review and recommend network-related hardware and software technologies designs and services.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network application and system issues.
  • Coordinate changes to IT processes & systems (e.g., Active Directory backups, firewalls, network switches, software applications, SQL servers, VMWare environment) to minimize operational impact.
  • Support current and legacy computer systems in OT environment.
  • Respond to equipment downtime issues in the plant and establish any required outside resources to assist in responding to issues quickly.
  • Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without interruption of production.
  • Support a variety of technologies such as human-machine interfaces (HMI), programmable logic controllers (PLC), and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA).
  • Other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Collaborative team environment in a shared workspace.
  • Carry a company-provided phone & participate in on-call rotation.
  • General office, computer room, warehouse, and factory areas.
  • Off-hours work and travel as required.
  • Sitting for long periods.
  • Minimum lifting requirements of 15 pounds.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant work experience.
  • 1 years of relevant related experience in a similar role.
  • Basic understanding of ITSM Principles or ITIL4 Foundations certification.
  • Must have proficient knowledge of operating systems, network systems, and IT architecture.
  • Windows systems administration.
  • Understanding of network threats and appropriate mitigation techniques.
  • Experience: Active Directory, Group Policy, SaaS concepts and technologies, IDM, MFA, M365, ITSM.
  • Experience with MS SQL server.
  • WAN/LAN concepts and technologies.
  • DNS, IPAM, NTP administration.
  • Firewall concepts and technologies.
  • Experience with VMWare vSphere environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
