OTR CDL Truck Driver

Our client, a regional transportation and freight brokerage firm, is seeking an experienced OTR CDL Truck Driver to join the business.  This position will be hauling dry goods regionally dispatched out on Monday and home every weekend.

In this Over-The-Road position, you will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely while ensuring on-time delivery and compliance with all federal and state regulations.  This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent driving skills, and the ability to think critically when planning routes, managing your clock and responding to changing conditions on the road.


Job Title:            OTR CDL Truck Driver
Location:            Regionally located in or around Kansas City metro
Compensation: $.55-70 cents/mile depending on driving experience


What’s the Job?

• Safely operate commercial vehicles appropriate to your CDL classification
• Deliver goods on time while meeting customer requirements and expectations
• Perform pre-trip, in-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle and cargo safety
• Maintain accurate logs of miles driven, hours worked, and activities in compliance with DOT regulations
• Utilize GPS and company-provided technology to navigate and optimize routes
• Quickly assess road and delivery conditions and make decisions to maintain safety and efficiency

• 5+ years of related over-the-road driving experience
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
• Clean driving record and commitment to safety
• Prior long-haul or heavy transport experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance requirements
