Outbound Dock Supervisor (shift hours 4pm - 1am)

Position Summary

We are currently seeking a dedicated Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in freight/dock operations and possess strong leadership skills to oversee daily activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

● Manage and supervise staff to ensure efficient operations

● Coordinate and prioritize workflow to meet operational demands

● Train, mentor, and motivate team members to enhance performance

● Monitor inventory levels and oversee materials handling processes

● Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory tracking

● Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies

● Oversee shipping and receiving activities, including 3PL coordination

● Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities, reporting any maintenance needs

● Resolve operational issues and address employee concerns promptly

● Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

● Previous experience in a freight/dock/union environment with knowledge of logistics operations

● Proficiency in using warehouse management systems

● Strong mechanical knowledge for equipment troubleshooting and maintenance

● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team management

● Familiarity with shipping, receiving, and materials handling processes

● Experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse setting

● Knowledge of 3PL operations and best practices
