Purpose

As the Outbound Order Processing & Packaging Supervisor, you report to the Fulfillment Manager and make that promise real by directing product fabrication, order preparation and collation, packaging operations, and shipment processing and manifesting. You also shape the workspace and workflow so the team can do its best work.
Your Mission
- Design and steward a cohesive workflow that keeps work accurate, efficient, and timely
- Translate production schedule priorities into clear action for the floor
- Prioritize, facilitate, and expedite production activities to align with customer due dates
- Ensure reporting tools are complete and correct
- Oversee data collection methods, accuracy, and reporting frequency across all metrics
- Collect and analyze performance data daily, weekly, monthly, and annually to validate workflow management and process improvements
- Lead continuous improvement, including workflow system development
- Recommend and develop future automated order picking systems and processes
- Continuously benchmark and track the latest shipping systems and small‑package delivery options to minimize freight expense to GSP and our customers
- Provide regular status updates to pertinent personnel and senior management
- Champion productive partnerships between Fulfillment and other departments
- Refine, communicate, and govern department policies and procedures
- Establish and monitor training programs for both new and existing employees
