Lead the Pace of Every Shipment
Location: Ivyland, PA (Milton Roy – 201 Ivyland Rd., Warminster, PA 18974)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM
It’s 9:00 AM on the shipping dock. You’ve just wrapped a quick huddle, reviewed open orders, checked parts availability, and aligned the team on priorities. Pallets are queued, carriers are scheduled, and KPIs are visible on the board. As the Outbound Shipping Operations Team Lead, you keep the flow steady, quality tight, and communication clear—so every customer gets what they need, when they need it.
Your Day, At a Glance
- Set the production pace to meet customer demand and adjust assignments by skill set and priority.
- Track, communicate, and help resolve parts shortages to protect ship dates.
- Monitor team productivity, coach in the moment, and seek process improvements.
- Set and follow through on performance goals and KPIs.
- Drive continuous improvement: suggest enhancements, participate in root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Provide direction and leadership; address conflicts and escalate when needed.
- Step in for the supervisor when the leader is out.
- Keep paperwork accurate and current: production logs, work instructions, and records of issues, defects, or deviations.
- Own critical admin and workplace organization tasks: timekeeping, attendance, efficiency, turn backs, 5S, PMPD, skills matrix, and record-keeping.
- Maintain clear, open communication with your team and management; relay updates and announcements promptly.
What You Bring
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2+ years of experience in Shipping, Receiving, Inventory Control, or Logistics.
- 1+ year working with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
- Ability to read and interpret bills of materials, work instructions, blueprints, or technical drawings.
- Strong time management, strategic thinking, problem solving, and adaptability.
Preferred
- 2+ years of leadership or people-management experience.
- Proficient with enterprise and productivity tools: SSO, JD Edwards, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
Tools and Proficiencies
- Shipping/Receiving, Material Handling, Warehouse operations.
- Loading and unloading vehicles; Packaging best practices.
- Forklift operation (licensed).
- Shop math and excellent communication.
- Manufacturing environment experience; Basic computer skills.
- Microsoft Excel, FedEx Ship Manager, UPS WorldShip, UPS Ozlink.
- Measuring and quoting; Meets physical requirements; High School/GED.
Work Arrangement
On-site at our Ivyland, PA area location (Milton Roy – 201 Ivyland Rd., Warminster, PA 18974). No travel required.
