Job Title: Outdoor Grounds Maintenance Technician

Location: School Campus

Position Type: Full-Time (Benefits Eligible)

Position Summary

The Outdoor Grounds Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the appearance, safety, and functionality of all school grounds and exterior facilities. This full-time position plays a key role in ensuring the campus remains clean, safe, and well-prepared for daily operations, athletic events, and special activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine grass cutting and trimming across campus grounds
  • Conduct snow plowing and sidewalk clearing during winter months
  • Maintain athletic fields, including preparation for games and practices
  • Perform light mechanical maintenance and basic repairs on grounds equipment
  • Maintain all exterior areas of the campus, including landscaped spaces, walkways, and parking lots
  • Assist with indoor projects and event/activity setups as needed

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Prior experience with riding lawn mowers, plow trucks, tractors, and power tools (required)
  • Ability to safely operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment
  • Basic mechanical aptitude for light equipment maintenance
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions year-round
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Ability to lift, bend, and perform physical labor as required
