Outdoor Maintenance Assistant

Pay Rate: $20.50 Per Hour

Summary:

• Supports the upkeep, cleanliness, and appearance of the company's manufacturing campus and grounds
• Duration: Temporary

Responsibilities:

• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the exterior grounds, parking lots, sidewalks, entrances, and common outdoor areas
• Pick up litter, debris, and trash throughout the campus on a daily basis
• Empty outdoor trash receptacles and transport waste to designated collection areas
• Assist with seasonal and weather-related clean-up, including leaves, snow, storm debris, and other environmental conditions
• Conduct routine inspections of outdoor areas and report safety hazards, damage, or maintenance concerns to management
• Support general grounds upkeep, including sweeping, power washing, and basic landscaping activities as assigned
• Assist with facility clean-up projects in manufacturing and office areas as needed
• Perform basic painting, touch-up work, and minor repair tasks under supervision
• Move equipment, furniture, materials, and supplies as directed
• Assist the Facilities and Maintenance teams with general labor projects and department support activities
• Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment
• Assemble devices received in kit form such as furniture and shelving units
• Provide support and back up for other members of the department as needed by leadership
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in drywall, repair & painting AND/OR minimum of one (1) year of experience in HVAC maintenance
• Must be a U.S. person as per ITAR regulations

• Ability to comprehend and follow technical standards and maintenance procedures
• Knowledge of operating lift truck, material handling equipment, man lifts and hand tools
• Flexibility in shift work may be required to perform work at times when weather is cooler and areas are not occupied
• Ability to lift 35 lbs.

Preferred Skills:

• Previous experience in grounds maintenance, janitorial services, landscaping, facilities support, or general labor
• Experience using hand tools, power washers, lawn equipment, or similar maintenance equipment

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday
• Ability to frequently bend, stoop, reach, and perform physical labor
• Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds regularly and heavier items with assistance
• Ability to safely operate basic hand tools and maintenance equipment

Work Environment:

• Manufacturing and industrial campus environment
• Work performed primarily outdoors with occasional indoor assignments
• Exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, dust, and industrial environments
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as required
