Description
A New Jersey-based healthcare network is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner and/or Physician Assistant (PA) to join thier Outpatient Cardiac team in Bergen County. This long-term locum opportunity offers the chance to manage pre- and post-operative cardiac surgery patients in an outpatient setting with a collaborative clinical team.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day shift
- Schedule: Monday-Friday
- Hours: Four 10-hour shifts per week with one alternating weekday off
- Setting: Outpatient Cardiac Surgery Office
Responsibilities:
- Manage preoperative and postoperative cardiac surgery patients
- Conduct outpatient follow-up visits
- Evaluate and treat post-surgical cardiac patients
- Perform minor postoperative procedures, including wound debridement and packing placement
- Collaborate with cardiac surgeons, APPs, and clinical support staff to support patient care
Qualifications:
- Active New Jersey Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
- Current CDS and DEA
- Cardiac surgery experience
- Ability to independently manage postoperative cardiac surgery patients
