Job Description Summary

This position addresses physician leadership for all aspects of the clinic. This position is responsible for all services/systems required for an organized, multidisciplinary team approach directed toward the provision of the highest quality patient care. This position addresses the maintenance of established patient care standards and protocols through continuous quality improvement and total quality management activities in the clinic.

Southeast Health, a 420 bed regional referral and Level II trauma center in Dothan, Alabama, is seeking a BC/BE general neurologist to join its Neurospine Center as a hospital employed physician. Physician will see patients in a hospital-based, NeuroSciences outpatient clinic that is conveniently located on the hospital campus. Neurotesting is available in the clinic. Ideal candidate will possess subcertification in EMG/NCV or completion of neurology residency with 6 months dedicated to training in EMG/NCV.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Neurology by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS)
• Eligibility to acquire an Alabama medical license
• Post graduate training or experience in EMG/NCV is highly preferred

PRACTICE HIGHLIGHTS:

• Outpatient only - no call, weekend, or holiday coverage required
• We offer interventional neuroradiology to treat a variety of conditions. Our Neurologists work collaboratively with the SEH Neurosurgeons, interventional Neuroradiologists and radiation Oncologists to provide a multidisciplinary approach to comprehensive care.
• Neurointerventionalists and Neurohospitalists practice with the Neuroscience team
• Stroke teleneurology is provided
• Neuromuscular Rehab & Balance Center is available
• Opportunity to precept Internal Medicine and Transitional Year residents, as well as DO medical students
