If a reliable daytime schedule with balanced weekend and holiday rotation is important to you, this role delivers! Enjoy a consistent weekday schedule, working Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with every other Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. When you work a Saturday, you'll receive a weekday off to keep your work‑life balance in check. Weekday hours may flex occasionally to support team PTO or call‑offs, giving you variety without constant change. This role includes every other weekend and two holidays per year, one summer and one winter, rotating annually. No floating or travel required. Just a steady schedule in a supportive, team‑focused environment! Ideal candidates are certified phlebotomists with prior hands‑on experience who are dependable, team‑oriented, and value a consistent daytime schedule in a supportive work environment. Responsibilities: Provide courteous, professional service to all laboratory customers and respond promptly to phone inquiries. Perform accurate patient identification and collect blood specimens via venipuncture, heelstick, and fingerstick. Educate patients on proper specimen collection and collect non‑blood specimens as needed. Demonstrate reliability, sound judgment, and the ability to prioritize work to meet department needs. Collect and transport specimens from on‑site and off‑site locations following safety procedures. Follow all laboratory and hospital policies related to procedures, quality, safety, infection prevention, and compliance. Perform clerical and computer tasks including patient registration, order entry, and test processing. Ensure specimen integrity and accurate patient and sample identification. Train and orient new employees, students, and residents as assigned. Maintain supplies, use resources efficiently, report unusual incidents, and perform arterial punctures when required. High school diploma or equivalent is required. Certification from an accredited Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant program is preferred. Minimum 6 months experience performing phlebotomy is preferred. Medical terminology knowledge and experience with laboratory information systems preferred. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: Phlebotomy Technician (PBT(ASCP or equivalent certification preferred.
