    BayCare Health System is seeking a motivated and compassionate Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join the hospital-based outpatient rehabilitation team. St. Anthonys Resource Center - Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, conveniently located in downtown St. Petersburg, Florida, offers a comprehensive range of outpatient rehabilitation services for adults and adolescents. This role supports licensed Physical Therapists in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Experience with lymphedema is welcome but not requiredBayCare is willing to train the right candidate in lymphedema management.

    Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant Responsibilities:

    • Carry out individualized treatment plans under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
    • Provide skilled therapeutic interventions including therapeutic exercise, functional training, and modalities
    • Participate in lymphedema care and treatment, with training provided as needed
    • Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, functional mobility, and home programs
    • Observe and report patient response, progress, and concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist
    • Document treatments and progress accurately in the electronic medical record
    • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support optimal patient outcomes
    • Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming outpatient therapy environment

    Requirements:

    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • PTA (Physical Therapy Assistant)
    • Or PTA (Physical Therapy Assistant) Temporary and licensure within 6 months
    • Required Associate's Physical Therapy
    • Preferred 1-year Physical Therapy Assistant
