POSITION SUMMARY:
Administers respiratory care services in accordance with department policies and procedures, providing input to the clinical evaluation and technical aspects of administered care. Patient care includes care to patients in the following age groups: neonatal (birth to 30 days), pediatric (30 days through 12 years), adolescent (13 through 18 years), adult (19 through 64 years), and geriatric (65 years and above).

JOB REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Outpatient Respiratory Therapist performing Pulmonary Function Testing:
Certification as a Pulmonary Function Tech (CPFT) thru the National Board of Respiratory Care required with in 12 months of date of hire. (PFT positions) (for those hired after September 1, 2024).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Inpatient Respiratory Therapist:
· One (1) year of neonatal intensive care experience.
· One (1) year of arterial gas punctures.
· One (1) year of ventilator management.
· Registry through NBRC - one (1) year.
Outpatient Respiratory Therapist:
· One (1) or more year(s) of background experience/knowledge of Pulmonary Function Therapy is preferred (PFT positions).
· Rehab/home care experience (Pulmonary Navigation/Rehabilitation positions).
· Two (2) years of critical care exposure to pulmonary patients.
· One (1) year of non-acute care with pulmonary patients.
· Registry through NBRC - one (1) year.
· Certification as a Pulmonary Function Tech (CPFT) thru the National Board of Respiratory Care (PFT positions).
