Job Summary We are seeking a licensed Outpatient Therapist to join our team! The therapist has the primary responsibility for the assessment, planning and implementation of the treatment for clients in outpatient programming for substance use disorder and mental health disorders. The therapist provides both direct services and mobilizes the resources of the total treatment milieu. This includes, but is not limited to, individual, collateral, and group therapy. The majority of direct services will be individual sessions.
Responsibilities
Oversee the day-to-day operations of treatment services for their clients.
Conducts and documents diagnostic bio-psychosocial assessments and treatment goals/objectives within the appropriate time-frame.
Directs the planning and writing of the client’s service/care plan for short-term interventions and subsequent referral to other services.
Use evidence-based treatment methods to facilitate group and individual treatments
Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of patient information and treatment plan
Perform regular wellness checks
Provides individual, group, or collateral services as appropriate, to clients based on clinical issues and treatment needs.
Attends all clinical meetings and assists in developing appropriate intervention techniques
Collaborates effectively with other assigned agency services and community partners for case management and other services.
Participates in supervision with behavioral health director and consultation on a regular basis.
Meets minimum requirements for billable time on a consistent basis based on case load and area served.
Adhere to all facility and licensing standards
Ability to be flexible and adapt to change in schedules and work environment.
Provides consistent, quality treatment to all clients on their caseload.
Ensures all necessary records are maintained and kept confidential.
Maintains licensure and stays within ethical guidelines provided by licensure board.
Qualifications
Master's Degree in a Human Services or related field from an accredited university is required.
Must hold a clinical WV Masters-level licensure (CSW, LCSW, LPCA, LPCC, LPA, LPP, LMFT, CADC, or LCADC).
Must successfully pass a drug-test and criminal background check upon entry.
Preferred 2+ of clinical experience with clients experiencing substance use disorder and/or serious mental illness.
Must present knowledge of issues leading to homelessness and barriers to maintaining housing.
Ability to engage clients and utilize strong communication and crisis-intervention skills.
Highly organized
Typical schedule is M-F 8-4 pm, in person with occasional non-traditional hours and weekends as needed to programmatic needs, trainings, and conferences.
