    Description

    Healthcare United is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Urologist to join an established hospital-employed faculty group in Southern Connecticut.

    This opportunity is primarily focused on outpatient urology, including the evaluation and treatment of common and complex conditions affecting both men and women. The physician will work within a nationally recognized, patient-centered healthcare system known for clinical excellence, strong patient satisfaction, and a collaborative approach to care.

    The position offers regular business hours, limited call responsibilities, minimal inpatient rounding, and access to a broad network of primary care physicians and specialists.

    Responsibilities:

    • Evaluate and treat urinary tract infections, kidney stones, overactive bladder, incontinence, benign prostatic hyperplasia, erectile dysfunction, hematuria, and pelvic floor disorders
    • Manage chronic urologic conditions through ongoing outpatient follow-up
    • Perform office-based procedures, including cystoscopy, catheter placement, prostate examinations, biopsies, vasectomy, and urodynamic testing as appropriate
    • Order and interpret urinalysis, urine cultures, ultrasound, CT imaging, PSA testing, and bladder function studies
    • Counsel patients regarding preventive care, lifestyle modifications, medications, and treatment options
    • Coordinate care with primary care physicians, gynecologists, oncologists, and surgical specialists
    • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
    • Participate in quality improvement and patient-centered care initiatives



    Requirements

    • MD or DO degree
    • Completion of an accredited Urology residency program
    • Board certification or board eligibility in Urology
    • Current Connecticut medical license or eligibility to obtain
    • Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills
    • Proficiency in office-based urologic procedures
    • Ability to manage both male and female urologic conditions
    • Strong communication and patient counseling skills
