ReNew Life Recovery Services is seeking an energetic, relationship-driven Outreach Coordinator to help expand awareness of our behavioral health and substance use services throughout Danville and surrounding communities.
This is a field-focused role for someone who enjoys networking, developing partnerships, attending community events, and connecting individuals and referral sources with meaningful services.
What You Will Do
- Build relationships with hospitals, physicians, treatment providers, social service agencies, shelters, recovery organizations, and community groups
- Conduct regular community outreach and relationship-building visits
- Educate referral sources and community partners about ReNew Life Recovery Services
- Identify new referral opportunities and develop community partnerships
- Attend resource fairs, networking events, community meetings, and outreach activities
- Follow up consistently with existing and prospective referral partners
- Help individuals and families understand available behavioral health and substance use resources
- Coordinate with intake staff to support smooth referral transitions
- Track outreach contacts, referrals, follow-ups, and outcomes
- Maintain an organized outreach calendar and contact database
- Assist with presentations, outreach materials, and community education
- Provide leadership with feedback on community needs and referral trends
What We Are Looking For
- 2-4 years of community outreach, healthcare, behavioral health, human services, business development, or related experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Comfortable initiating professional conversations and developing new relationships
- Strong organization, follow-up, and time-management skills
- Ability to independently manage a field-based outreach schedule
- Professional, dependable, and comfortable representing the organization in the community
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to attend occasional evening or weekend events when needed
We Would Especially Like to Meet You If You Have
- Behavioral health or substance use outreach experience
- Existing relationships within Danville or Southside Virginia
- Healthcare referral development experience
- Experience working with hospitals, shelters, social service agencies, criminal justice partners, or recovery organizations
- Knowledge of local behavioral health and substance use resources
- Community engagement or event-planning experience
- Experience with outreach tracking or CRM systems
- Virginia Medicaid or behavioral health experience
Compensation
$25-$30 per hour
Compensation will be based on outreach experience, behavioral health or healthcare background, community relationships, and overall qualifications.
