Outside Grill Attendant

Chick Evans Golf Course, located in Morton Grove, IL, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Part-Time, Seasonal Outside Grill Attendant! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. Enjoy spending your summer working at one of Chicagos most popular golf courses. Chick Evans Golf Course focuses on providing a positive golf experience for golfers of all ages and skill levels, while providing a fun atmosphere and a variety of beverages and grilled food for guests to enjoy on and off the course. Our outdoor grill position will plan/prepare/work the outdoor grill for public golf on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, as well as outing events on our 10th hole grill. Compensation is competitive, and all employees earn golf privileges at all 10 FPG courses in the Cook County, Chicago area.

Role Type:

Seasonal (Position will last 6 months or less)

Pay:

$10.00 - $15.00 per hour + tips

Key Responsibilities:

• Cleans and prepares food on an outdoor propane grill
• Stocks snacks and grab-and-go items for retail
• Maintains and demonstrates knowledge of proper golf course etiquette
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of applicable state liquor laws and standard operating procedures provided by management
• Ensures guests are attended to in a prompt, efficient, and personalized manner
• Serves food and beverage items to guests on the course
• Responds to customer questions regarding general facility information
• Reviews schedules, calendar of events, and club activities on a daily basis
• Is accountable for all checks and cash transactions, which may at times be high volume
• Utilizes the Point of Sale (POS) system and creates daily sales reports
• Communicates guest concerns or comments immediately to the Director of Food and Beverage and Chef
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance
• Performs other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

• Must meet state age requirements to serve alcohol
