Qualifications:- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); demonstrated knowledge of power plant operation and outside operator job skills; or equivalent education and experience. Minimum of one year of demonstrated competence in outside operator competencies. Knowledge of PC software applications, including spreadsheet, word processing, and database.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence accurately.
- Ability to communicate orally, including the use of a radio and group presentations.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts including percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- A valid California driver’s license is required
