Outside Plant Planner

Mountain Ltd. is seeking an experienced Outside Plant Planner to support telecommunications network planning activities in a fully remote capacity. This project opportunity is expected to last approximately six months and may extend based on business needs.

In this role, you will provide comprehensive OSP planning support, with a focus on network capacity, tactical planning, forecasting, and ensuring infrastructure is positioned to meet current and anticipated customer demand.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide all aspects of Outside Plant (OSP) network planning support.
• Perform capacity provisioning and tactical planning activities, including monitoring, timing, and sizing network additions using standard network models and architectures.
• Support the collocation planning process and help reduce planning and production cycle times.
• Ensure the network is appropriately pre-provisioned to support customer service requests and anticipated demand.
• Analyze capacity requirements using forecast data, existing network inventory, strategic planning information, and established network architectures and models.
• Identify potential network capacity needs and recommend appropriate network additions based on available planning data.
• Perform long-range forecasting to support future network requirements.
• Conduct feeder route analysis and administration.
• Support strategic network planning initiatives and other planning activities as business needs dictate.
• Maintain accurate planning records and communicate effectively with project stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience with OSP planning, network capacity planning, provisioning, forecasting, or a related telecommunications discipline.
• Ability to analyze network inventory and forecast data to support capacity decisions.
• Understanding of telecommunications network architecture and OSP infrastructure.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage priorities and work effectively with minimal supervision in a remote environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and relevant telecommunications network records or planning systems.
