This opportunity is ideal for an experienced HCM sales professional seeking to join an established industry leader with strong brand recognition, an attractive compensation package, and a field-focused new business sales role.


THE ROLE

The Mid-Market Consultant is responsible for selling HCM and payroll solutions to businesses with 1–99 employees. This is a true hunter role with no dedicated referral channels, requiring consistent outbound prospecting, strong field sales execution, and effective territory management.


The individual in this position will identify and target prospective clients, generate new business opportunities, conduct consultative sales presentations, manage a healthy sales pipeline, and close new accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Generate and prospect for new business opportunities
  • Sell payroll and HCM solutions to small and mid-sized businesses
  • Manage the entire sales process from initial outreach through contract close
  • Conduct both in-person and virtual client meetings
  • Develop and maintain a strong territory pipeline
  • Keep CRM records and sales forecasts accurate and up to date
  • Effectively position solutions against competing HCM providers
  • Build consultative relationships with key business decision-makers
  • Execute strategic outbound prospecting initiatives
  • Consistently achieve monthly and annual sales targets


THE QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications

  • 2–10 years of B2B sales experience
  • Direct HCM sales experience required
  • Demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding quota
  • Experience with prospecting and full-cycle sales
  • Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
  • Comfortable working in a field-based sales environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience selling payroll, HRIS, PEO, or workforce management solutions
  • Background selling into SMB and mid-market organizations
  • Salesforce CRM experience
  • Strong consultative selling skills
  • Consistent career progression with stable employment history
