Outside Sales / Business Development Specialist
Aspen Personnel Service has been hired by a long-standing, locally owned provider of marketing and event products and services to recruit a self-motivated Outside Sales / Business Development Specialist to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven sales professional who thrives on building relationships, developing creative solutions, and closing deals.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients
- Conduct client needs assessments to identify opportunities
- Collaborate with internal sales support teams to create customized proposals
- Present, pitch, and close tailored solutions
- Partner with internal teams to ensure product accuracy and quality
- Coordinate production schedules and delivery timelines
- Attend trade shows to ensure successful delivery and customer satisfaction
- Generate leads through trade shows and networking events
- Participate in local networking opportunities
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills and Experience
- Proven success in a consultative sales environment
- Strong listening and communication skills
- Tradeshow and/or marketing industry experience preferred
- Creative, solutions-oriented mindset
- Self-motivated with a strong drive to succeed
- Entrepreneurial spirit and initiative
- Willingness to travel 4–8 times per year
- Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills
Schedule
- Monday – Friday (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM or 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
- Occasional travel and weekend work required
Compensation
- Base salary: $50,000 + commission
- Paid travel expenses
- Expense budget provided
