At Nwestco LLC, we don’t just work in the Petroleum and Car Wash Equipment industry—we lead it. For more than 25 years, we’ve set the standard across the Northwest and Rockies by delivering innovation, reliability, and excellence to our customers.

We’re now seeking a driven Outside Sales Representative to help grow our Petroleum Service and Testing division across our four California branches — Dublin, Sacramento, Fresno, and Bakersfield — with a primary focus on the East Bay to Sacramento markets.

We’re specifically looking for someone with petroleum fuel system experience and a strong understanding of the construction and project management side of the industry. This role requires someone who can speak the language of contractors, operators, and field teams while helping manage projects and build long-term customer relationships.

If you’re a results-focused sales professional who thrives on building relationships, developing new business, and promoting technical service solutions, this is your moment.

Pay Range: $75K–$90K (Plus Quarterly Commissions)
Includes: Benefits, PTO, 401(k), Company Vehicle and more

Your Mission:

  • Drive new customer acquisition and expand Nwestco’s market share in petroleum service, compliance testing, maintenance, and installation programs across California.
  • Focus on building and expanding business in the Dublin, Sacramento, Fresno, and Bakersfield branches, with primary coverage of the East Bay–Sacramento corridor.
  • Identify and develop relationships with fuel retailers, convenience store operators, jobbers, commercial fueling sites, municipalities, developers, and contractors.
  • Promote and sell UST/AST compliance testing, maintenance programs, repairs, construction services, and installation projects.
  • Conduct on-site consultations and evaluations to understand customer needs and recommend tailored solutions.
  • Prepare and deliver detailed quotes, proposals, and service agreements.
  • Collaborate closely with branch managers, service teams, construction teams, and project managers to ensure quality delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Stay current on industry regulations, testing requirements, and equipment standards (UST/AST systems, leak detection, cathodic protection, monitoring, etc.).
  • Manage opportunities through CRM tools, maintain accurate forecasting, and follow up diligently to close deals.
  • Represent Nwestco at trade shows, local industry events, and customer training sessions.
  • Ensure all sales activities comply with state and federal environmental, safety, and compliance regulations.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred — or equivalent solid work experience.
  • 5+ years of sales experience, including a proven record of adding new customers to a company’s portfolio.
  • Strong petroleum industry experience is required, including knowledge of fuel systems, fueling equipment, service operations, and petroleum construction projects.
  • Experience working with contractors, project managers, developers, and construction teams within the petroleum or fueling industry is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate leads, develop sales strategies, and manage all phases of the sales cycle from prospecting to close.
  • Prior success selling service and maintenance agreements is preferred.
  • Knowledge of petroleum systems, fueling equipment, UST/AST testing, and regulatory compliance is highly beneficial.
  • Experience working with developers, C-store operators, fleet operators, or fueling networks.
  • Skilled at project coordination and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated, professional, and able to operate with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel regionally across California, supporting all four branches as needed.

Before You Leap:

Some positions require travel and overnight stays. Travel expenses will be covered by Nwestco, LLC

All job offers are contingent upon successful completion of the following:

  • Ability to pass pre-employment physical with extensive lifting (up to 75 lb), twisting, pulling, kneeling, and squatting.

  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug-screening and background check. If the position is classified as safety-sensitive, it requires the applicant to pass a comprehensive drug test, including screening for marijuana, as a condition of employment.
