Outside Sales Representative/Engineer - East & Southeast Pittsburgh Territory

We're looking for an ambitious Outside Sales Representative / Engineer to own and grow our client's East & Southeast Pittsburgh territory. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technical problem-solving with relationship-driven sales and new business development.

You'll represent a full line of engineered pumps, related equipment, and services, working directly with industrial customers to understand their applications, recommend reliable solutions, and build long-term business relationships.

What you'll be doing:

• Generate new business while growing and servicing an established customer base
• Identify and qualify sales opportunities by understanding customer operations, challenges, and technical requirements
• Develop new accounts and maximize the potential of existing relationships
• Analyze customer specifications and apply engineering knowledge to recommend the right products and solutions
• Regularly visit customer locations throughout the territory
• Build strong relationships that drive customer loyalty and repeat business
• Develop and maintain productive relationships with suppliers
• Prepare monthly and annual sales forecasts and territory plans
• Manage your territory effectively and maintain a consistent customer-facing presence

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a technical discipline preferred
• 2–3 years of proven sales experience, preferably within the industrial marketplace
• Experience selling to large, complex companies or industrial organizations
• Demonstrated ability to penetrate new accounts and develop business
• Strong territory and business planning skills
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and time-management skills
• A technical mindset with the ability to understand customer applications and translate needs into effective solutions
