Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking a motivated Outside Sales & Water Testing Representative to manage and grow customer accounts throughout Northeastern Oklahoma. This field-based position combines relationship-driven outside sales with on-site water system testing for industrial, manufacturing, municipal, and large commercial clients.
The ideal candidate has excellent customer service skills, enjoys working independently, and is comfortable traveling throughout the assigned territory. Previous water testing experience is preferred, but training is available for the right candidate.
Territory
Coverage begins at Interstate 35 and extends throughout Northeastern Oklahoma, including:
McAlester
Harmony
Taft
Atoka
Stillwater
Tulsa
Shawnee
Ada
Miami
The territory also includes regular visits to industrial facilities, manufacturing plants, and correctional institutions.
Required Experience & Skills
Previous outside sales experience preferred
Water testing or technical service experience preferred (training available)
Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
Excellent organizational and time management abilities
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for reporting and documentation
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in the field
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (MVR required)
Ability to pass a national background check and 10-panel drug screen
No formal education requirements
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Conduct on-site water system testing at customer facilities throughout the assigned territory
Develop, maintain, and grow customer relationships through regular field visits
Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts and generate new business
Maintain accurate monthly customer call and visit logs using Excel
Submit monthly chemist reports documenting testing results and service activity
Travel throughout Northeastern Oklahoma to support customer needs and maintain service schedules
Submit fuel receipts for mileage reimbursement during the contract period
Communicate customer concerns, service needs, and opportunities with management
Maintain professional service standards while representing the company in the field
Preferred Qualifications
Previous industrial, manufacturing, or water treatment experience
Experience managing a multi-county sales territory
Strong communication, presentation, and customer retention skills
Technical aptitude with the ability to learn water testing procedures quickly
Physical Requirements
Ability to drive extensively throughout the assigned territory
Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs of testing equipment or supplies
Frequent walking, standing, bending, and working at customer locations
Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions while wearing required PPE when necessary
Work Environment
Field-based position with daily travel throughout Northeastern Oklahoma
Regular visits to industrial facilities, manufacturing plants, commercial properties, and correctional institutions
Independent work environment with frequent customer interaction
Combination of technical service work, account management, and outside sales responsibilities
