Salary: $50,000 base salary + uncapped commission and benefits (First year OTE of $80k+)
Job Summary:
Our client, a well-established flooring provider under new ownership, is seeking an experienced Outside Sales Representative to join their team in Columbia, MO. This is a high-impact role focused on building and maintaining strong B2B relationships with home builders, general contractors, and commercial contractors, while also engaging with homeowners as opportunities arise. The ideal candidate will bring proven flooring industry expertise, established client relationships, and a track record of generating and closing profitable sales.
Job Responsibilities:- Proactively prospect, develop, and maintain relationships with builders, contractors, and other business clients.
- Present and promote flooring products and services to meet client needs and project requirements.
- Prepare accurate bids, proposals, and estimates to ensure profitability.
- Negotiate contracts and close sales with a focus on long-term relationships.
- Monitor project progress, ensuring client satisfaction and timely communication.
- Collaborate with internal teams for seamless project execution.
- Track and report activity, pipeline, and sales performance.
Qualifications:- 3–5 years of proven sales experience in the flooring industry (required—no exceptions).
- Strong knowledge of flooring products, installation processes, and industry best practices.
- Demonstrated success in B2B sales, preferably with builders and contractors.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to work independently.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
