Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) is looking for an Outside Sales Representative to take ownership of a thriving territory and build lasting customer relationships.

What You'll Do

  • Drive Sales Success: Hit your goals and execute strategic sales plans across new and existing accounts.
  • Own Your Territory: Manage distribution, pricing, and agreements while expanding PCA's footprint.
  • Build Relationships: Be the trusted advisor your customers rely on-solve problems, meet needs, and grow business.
  • Collaborate Creatively: Partner with our design team to enhance packaging solutions and develop new ones.
  • Lead with Insight: Analyze opportunities, recommend improvements, and help shape smarter sales processes.
  • Manage the Details: Handle forecasting, budgeting, credit applications, and collections with precision.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree and/or 3-5 years of successful outside sales experience.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record (last 3 years). Ability to travel frequently across territory.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and time management skills.
  • Self-motivation, resilience under pressure, and a team-first mindset.
  • Confidence to make independent decisions and manage sensitive accounts.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • Starting salary range for position: $60,000 - $150,000
  • Bonus: Annual - Based upon individual contribution and overall, Company performance.
  • Paid Vacation: Three (3) weeks per calendar year. Pro-rata Vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year.
  • Paid Holidays.
  • Within the first 30 days of employment, an employee (and their dependents) is eligible to enroll in certain benefit coverages -- medical, dental, and vision - and are automatically enrolled in life, AD&D, and disability coverages.
  • Upon hire, an employee is automatically enrolled in the 401k plan. The plan offers both pre-tax and Roth contribution options along with employer provided matching contributions.
