Job Scope:

The Outside Sales Representative plays a critical role in growing Titan’s market presence and driving revenue within an assigned territory across the United States. With a primary focus on the transportation sector, this role is responsible for cultivating strong sector networks, generating new business opportunities, and strengthening relationships with contractors, owners, engineers, and consultants. Leveraging technical expertise in geosynthetics and exceptional sales acumen, this individual will represent Titan’s solutions with professionalism and strategic insight, ensuring client needs are met and exceeded while contributing to Titan’s long-term growth and success.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development

  • Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities with contractors, public and private owners, and engineering/consulting firms.
  • Lead proactive prospecting efforts, including cold calling, lead generation, and pipeline development to grow market share.
  • Deliver persuasive presentations and product demonstrations tailored to specific client needs.
  • Develop a deep understanding of geosynthetic applications, including material types, installation methods, and performance characteristics to confidently advise clients and response to technical objections

Sector Networking & Market Development

  • Develop and maintain a robust network within the transportation sector, as well as other emerging sectors relevant to Titan’s products and services.
  • Represent Titan at industry events, conferences, trade shows, and technical seminars to build relationships and increase brand awareness.
  • Monitor market trends, project activity, and competitor positioning to identify opportunities and inform strategy.
  • Partner with executive leadership to translate field insights into product evolution and educational content.

Technical Expertise & Support

  • Review tender documents, project plans, and technical drawings to prepare accurate take-offs, proposals, and estimates.
  • Collaborate with internal technical teams to ensure product suitability and compliance with project specifications. Serve as technical liaison between clients and Titan’s internal experts to clarify solutions, installation tolerances, and durability expectations.
  • Participate in Titan Talks and educational outreach to support customer understanding and confidence in Titan solutions. Participate in Titan Talks, lunch and learns, and other client facing education sessions to build technical confidence in Titan’s offerings.

Territory & Account Management

  • Travel throughout the assigned territory to engage with contractors, engineers, procurement officials, and key project stakeholders in order to build and maintain relationships with clients and prospects.
  • Maintain detailed, up-to-date records of customer interactions, opportunities, and sales activities in Titan’s CRM (HubSpot) and ERP system (NetSuite).
  • Collaborate closely with the National Sales Manager to align on territory goals, strategy, and key account management.

Reporting & Communication

  • Provide regular updates on sales activity, pipeline status, market feedback, and forecast projections.
  • Ensure alignment with internal teams including logistics, customer service, and technical departments to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Maintain consistent communication with cross functional teams including customer service and technical support to ensure seamless execution of orders and resolution to any potential issues.

Professionalism & Brand Representation

  • Consistently represent Titan with integrity, professionalism, and a solutions-focused approach.
  • Uphold Titan’s values and maintain strong, ethical relationships with customers and partners.
  • Foster long term, respectful relationships with customers, reinforcing trust and loyalty to the Titan brand.
  • Promote positive brand image by maintaining a polished knowledgeable, and dependable presence across all channels -in person, virtual and written communication.

Other Duties

  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned that contribute to the overall success of the sales team and company initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Civil Engineering, or a related field is considered an asset.
  • 2–5 years of successful sales experience, preferably in construction, civil infrastructure, or geosynthetics.
  • Proven track record in prospecting, developing, and closing new business opportunities within a B2B environment.
  • Experience working with clients in construction, transportation, energy, or industrial sectors is strongly preferred.
  • CPSA (Certified Professional Salesperson) designation or similar sales certification is an asset.
  • Strong negotiation skills with experience in pricing strategy, contract terms, and closing deals.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and comfortable using CRM systems to manage pipelines and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to build lasting relationships with clients and internal teams.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-first mindset.
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, evolving market.
  • Knowledge of the Houston and surrounding Texas markets is a strong advantage.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory as needed.
  • Live within the Dallas, TX area

Other Information

  • Hours of work are from 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday, with the possibility of work and travel outside these standard hours when needed.
  • Please note that this position involves approximately 50% travel.
