Position Overview
A growing construction services company in the Cumming, GA area is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to support continued growth within the residential construction market. This is a strong opportunity for a self-driven, accountable sales professional who enjoys building relationships, managing a territory, and operating with a high level of independence.
The Outside Sales Representative will manage a mix of existing accounts, inbound leads, and new business opportunities within the garage and entry door industry. This role is ideal for someone who wants to take ownership of their own territory, build long-term customer relationships, and grow revenue in a stable, supportive environment.
This is a field-based role with autonomy, minimal micromanagement, strong internal support, and a company vehicle.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow an assigned sales territory within the residential construction market.
- Develop relationships with homeowners, contractors, builders, and other industry contacts.
- Follow up on inbound leads and convert opportunities into sales.
- Maintain and expand existing customer accounts.
- Generate new business through prospecting, referrals, networking, and relationship-building.
- Represent the company professionally while meeting with customers in the field.
- Prepare and communicate accurate notes, orders, updates, and customer information using ERP and CRM tools.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure customer needs are handled accurately and efficiently.
- Operate independently while consistently meeting activity, service, and sales expectations.
Qualifications
- Prior outside sales, account management, or territory sales experience preferred.
- Experience in residential construction, building materials, garage doors, entry doors, home services, or selling to contractors/homeowners is a plus.
- Strong accountability, maturity, and work ethic.
- Comfortable working independently in a field-based sales environment.
- Ability to build trust and maintain long-term customer relationships.
- Comfortable using basic technology, including entering orders, typing notes, and updating customer information.
- Clean driving record required.
- Must be drug-free.
- College degree is not required; reliability, professionalism, and follow-through are most important.
