GENERAL SUMMARY

Develop and maintain strong customer relations in such a manner that they will purchase from Preferred to increase company sales and profit.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop new customer accounts through cold calls working potential customer lists and contacting contractors in the area etc.
  • Maintain positive relations and increase business with current customers.
  • Accurately estimate materials needed and up sale.
  • Provide effective product presentation to customers.
  • Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers clients customers and the general public.
  • Negotiate pricing levels with customers in a way that will encourage business and also maintain profitability.
  • Obtain and record current information on customers.
  • Coordinate with Sales Manager the status of quotes and orders to ensure commitment to customers are being met.
  • Oversee the formwork fabrication process.
  • Achieve growth and hit sales targets

MARGINAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Make recommendations to Sales Manager for new product lines and pricing to remain competitive in the market.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts proportions percentages area circumference and volume.
  • Attend relevant product training to increase knowledge as required.
  • Attend and participate in relevant trade shows as required.
  • Assist in collecting past due accounts payables.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma / GED
  • 4 years of relevant product sales experience

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Industry relevant product knowledge - Required
  • Computer skills, typing, email, internet, Office, Excel - Required
  • Valid drivers license
