Ed Herrington, Inc is seeking a motivated and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to join our team. In this role, you will develop and maintain customer relationships, identify new business opportunities focused on the MITHOR code in conjunction with current year’s sales plan, and drive revenue growth within your assigned territory. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong communication skills, a customer-focused mindset, and a proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals. Territory is to be determined with the New York, Connecticut, and Massachusetts area.  
 
Essential Job Responsibilities
  • Prospect, identify, and develop new business opportunities within an assigned territory.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
  • Conduct in-person sales calls, presentations, and product demonstrations.
  • Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales proposals and quotations.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Consistently meet or exceed sales targets and performance objectives.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
  • Manages assigned accounts for Ed Herrington, Inc. profitability.  Assists credit manager with credit issues in order to safeguard our financial interests in any given project.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including customer service, operations, and management, to ensure seamless customer support.
  • Promotes and sells in all Herrington’s product group areas i.e. paint, Kitchen & Bath, countertops, etc..
  • Attends trade shows, sales meetings, and builder/customer events as required.
  • Provide regular territory and sales performance reports to management.
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or one to two years related experience and/or training in the building trades industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven experience in outside sales, business development, or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport and establish long-term customer relationships.
  • Excellent negotiation and closing skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.
