Description The Dealer Sales Rep is an outside sales role tasked to develop, maintain, and grow relationships with customers. Owns the dealer relationship and buyer relationship with key customers in the Triangle (Raleigh, NC) and Southern VA markets. Works independently and is self-directed, while still operating as part of an integrated local sales team focused on delivering value to customers and achieving sales and margin growth expectations. Applies experience to drive growth in scale (i.e., customer base, broader market coverage). Ensures superior value is delivered to customers in support of primary demand efforts. Responsible for promoting and selling Distribution''s full range of products, including engineered wood, siding and decking, commodities, and specialty building products. Key Functions Establishes, cultivates, and protects the dealer relationship and buyer relationship with assigned customers. Coordinates customer strategies in support of delivering superior value to customers and growing wallet-share and profitability. Uses market knowledge, relationships, and growing experience to seek out opportunities with new and existing customers for Distribution''s full range of products. Gathers market intelligence and translates it into valuable input to drive decisions around product mix, pricing, inventory levels and demand outlook. Uses that input to help drive decision-making. Develops and executes marketing and communication plans with customers, including promotions, specials, market pull through activities, and updates to products/pricing/service.
