Work Schedule: Variable schedule Classification: Nonexempt, Part-time Pay Rate: $18.45 Hourly Position Overview The Outside Services Attendant supports the daily golf operations by delivering exceptional member and guest service while maintaining organized, efficient, and safe outdoor golf service areas. Responsibilities include assisting with the staging and maintenance of golf carts, managing the driving range, and ensuring a clean and welcoming environment. Essential Functions - Greet members and guests upon arrival with professionalism and a positive attitude.
- Provide timely and courteous responses to all member and guest requests and needs.
- Be knowledgeable about Club events, course conditions, maintenance schedules, and other relevant information.
- Stage, clean, and store golf carts, and push/electric carts in a safe and organized manner.
- Set up, maintain, and close the driving range daily, including restocking range balls, cleaning equipment, and operating the range picker.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all outside service areas, including the cart barn, bag room, and staging areas.
- Support golf tournaments and special events as directed.
- Promote teamwork and assist fellow employees in other areas of golf operations as needed.
- Demonstrate awareness of workplace safety practices and support organizational efforts to maintain a safe environment for staff, residents, and visitors.
Note: Employee may have to undertake additional tasks as needed or as directed, within the responsibilities of their role. Work Experience - Previous experience in golf operations and/or guest or customer service preferred.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, outdoor service environment desirable.
Skills - Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of golf etiquette and basic golf operations.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask effectively.
- Team-oriented with a professional and service-focused demeanor.
Physical Demands and Work Environment - Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including heat, humidity, and noise.
- Repetitive motions and physical activity associated with golf operations work.
Conditions of Employment - Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check is required.
- Must maintain professional conduct and demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented and stable work environment.
- Possession of a valid California driver’s license is required and must be maintained throughout employment if driving on The Villages property.
Education - High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently.
