About the Role

Our client is looking for a seasoned professional to join their aerospace manufacturing team, focusing on maintaining the highest standards of quality during maintenance and repair operations. This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, advocating for quality improvements, and facilitating communication between internal teams, suppliers, and the end customers.

Main Duties

  • Oversee product quality to meet stringent standards such as FAA, EASA, AS9100, NADCAP, and ISO
  • Serve as the go-to quality authority for both clients and suppliers
  • Execute internal audits and support the maintenance of robust compliance mechanisms
  • Manage quality documentation, including records and manuals
  • Provide quality-based review and approval of purchasing documents
  • Oversee corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues
  • Conduct assessments and reviews of supplier performance
  • Assist with inspection tasks and contribute to quality documentation and reporting
  • Work with cross-departmental teams to implement effective quality and process improvements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related discipline (or relevant experience)
  • In-depth understanding of:
    • Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
    • Measurement and inspection methodologies
    • Industrial production processes
    • Statistical Process Control (SPC)
  • Hands-on experience with AS9100, ISO, and NADCAP systems
  • Excellent analytical and organizational capabilities, along with strong communication skills

Desired Expertise

  • Knowledge of FAA/EASA standards and Airworthiness Directives
  • Experience in aerospace maintenance and repair disciplines
  • Proficiency in supplier quality control and auditing practices

Physical Demands

  • Ability to perform physical tasks including sitting, standing, walking, and handling materials
  • Occasional lifting of weights up to 20 lbs
  • Able to function effectively in both office and workshop settings
