NIGHT SHIFT OVERHEAD CRANE OPERATOR
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Overhead Crane Operator for the night shift to join our team. The Crane Operator will be responsible for safely operating overhead cranes and other lifting equipment to move, position, load, and unload materials throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate overhead cranes, bridge cranes, jib cranes, and related lifting equipment.
Inspect cranes, hoists, hooks, slings, chains, and other lifting equipment before use
Safely lift, move, position, and load materials according to work instructions
Follow established load limits, rigging procedures, and safety requirements
Properly attach and secure loads using slings, chains, hooks, and other rigging equipment
Communicate effectively with ground personnel and other operators during lifting operations
Monitor loads while in motion and maintain safe clearance from personnel and equipment
Identify equipment problems, damaged rigging, or unsafe conditions and report them immediately
Perform basic equipment checks and routine maintenance as required
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Follow all company, OSHA, and facility safety procedures
Complete required production, inspection, and equipment records
Meet production requirements while maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality
Qualifications
Previous crane operating experience preferred
Experience operating overhead, bridge, or jib cranes is a plus
Knowledge of safe lifting and rigging practices
Ability to read and understand work instructions and safety procedures
Ability to inspect and properly use slings, chains, hooks, and other rigging equipment
Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness
Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
Strong attention to detail and safety
Reliable attendance and ability to work independently or as part of a team
Ability to stand, walk, climb, and safely handle materials as required
Ability to work in a manufacturing or industrial environment
