    Job Description

    About the Role

Step into a hands-on role where your electrical know-how keeps critical lifting gear running safely and efficiently. As our Overhead Hoist & Crane Service Electrician, you’ll install, maintain, diagnose, and repair hoists and industrial lifting systems—blending electrical troubleshooting with mechanical finesse to keep production on track and in compliance with safety standards.

    A Day in the Life

You start with a service ticket: an overhead hoist is faulting intermittently. You connect to the PLC, trace wiring, read the schematic, and isolate a motor control issue. After locking out/tagging out (LOTO), you swap a component, verify signals, and run test lifts. Later, you’ll adjust a brake, weld a small bracket, confirm tolerances with calipers and a micrometer, and document work. Throughout the day, you move materials with a forklift and coordinate rigging for safe installs—all while following plant procedures and codes.

    What You’ll Do

    • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems: wiring, schematics, PLCs, motor controls, and related industrial electrical systems.
    • Diagnose and fix mechanical components using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and precision measurement instruments (calipers, micrometers).
    • Interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical drawings to complete accurate assemblies and repairs.
    • Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment during installation, maintenance, and repair.

    What You’ll Bring

    • 3–5 years of mechanical and/or electrical maintenance experience (preferred).
    • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics; strong electrical troubleshooting skills.
    • Experience with motor controls and industrial electrical systems; familiarity with PLCs and CNC systems.
    • Comfort with rigging and working at heights (preferred).
    • Ability to lift 50–75 lbs. and work safely in an industrial manufacturing environment.
    • Hands-on experience with electrical wiring, schematics, PLCs, CNC systems, and power tools.
    • Mechanical knowledge of manufacturing machinery, fabrication, assembly processes, and precision measurement.
    • Valid forklift certification or experience operating forklifts in a manufacturing setting.
    • Proven problem-solver who can work independently or on a team in a fast-paced environment.

    Work Environment

Manufacturing floor setting with active industrial equipment. You will follow all applicable safety procedures and standards to ensure safe, compliant operations.

    Why You’ll Love It Here

Help keep our operation running smoothly in a culture committed to safety. This paid position offers the opportunity to deepen your expertise in industrial machinery while contributing to reliable, high-quality production.
