Position Overview:
The Overnight Cleaner is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation and overall appearance of the hotel's public areas and selected back of house areas including kitchen and employee break room. This role ensures a safe, welcoming, and high standard environment for guests and staff by completing deep cleaning tasks and preparing the hotel for the next day's operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for cleanliness of all public/shared spaces within the hotel including Kitchen and Employee Break Room.
Responsible for cleaning Restaurant and Bar areas including:
Deep cleaning Kitchen appliances and walk-in/reach-in fridges
Bar area mats, cabinets and fridges
Wipe down and sanitize all surfaces appropriately using the assigned chemical agents.
Sweep, vacuum and mop floors to ensure high level of cleanliness.
Remove all waste in assigned spaces.
Maintain guest and employee restrooms. Clean toilets, sinks, counters, remove waste, and restock daily.
Greet and interact with guests as needed. Handle guest requests with professionalism and courtesy.
Ensure discretion and respect guest privacy at all times.
Communicate any lost and found items to front desk. Report immediately and turn over for secure proper storage.
Check the condition of all paper products in used public spaces (toilet paper, paper towels, newspapers, provided marketing collateral, etc.). Replenish as needed.
Clean and organize the housekeeping area at the end of each shift, respectfully setting up the next shift for success.
Communicate closely with other departments, such as when a guest reports a maintenance work order or front desk issue to be addressed.
