As an Overnight Dispatcher, you'll be responsible for monitoring security systems, responding to alerts, and coordinating emergency responses. Youll work closely with the security team to ensure safety protocols are followed and issues are addressed promptly.
What You'll Do
As an Overnight Dispatcher, you will be responsible for:
Monitoring security cameras for internal and external locations to prevent unauthorized access
Keeping an eye on city system alerts, such as outages and downed wires, and creating work orders for repairs
Maintaining security protocols; not leaving your desk or the premises, with emergency procedures in place
Responding to unauthorized access incidents by calling law enforcement and notifying designated staff members
Contacting appropriate personnel via phone tree during operational emergencies to ensure swift responses
Working from the office located near downtown Kansas City
What You'll Bring The ideal candidate for this role will have:
Strong ability to work independently for extended periods without leaving the desk
Excellent customer service skills for interacting with utilities, citizens, and team members
Basic proficiency in Excel for formatting and managing sheets; training on proprietary work order software will be provided
Experience or background in administrative and customer service roles is preferred
