OVERVIEW Our Donut Fryers are responsible for frying cake donuts and frying yeast donuts to Guru quality and efficiency standards. The Donut Fryers will be cross-trained as a Glazer to fill-in as needed and will need to be familiar with Baking processes to maintain quality control. The prep portion of this job also includes learning/making glazes, fillings, toppings, savory breakfast food items, and others.WHAT GURU NEEDS We are looking for a Donut Fryer who is detail oriented, enjoys working on a collaborative team, is passionate about creating the highest quality products and wants opportunities to learn, grow and build their skills/career with Guru!KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Frying and glazing all battered donutsWorking with Baker to manage the proofing of yeast donuts to ensure size consistency before/during fryingFry all yeast donuts, including fritters, and other yeast donutsWork with team members to maintain quality control of finished products to Guru standards and keep workflow on pace during productionAbility to follow recipes, weigh ingredients and multi-taskMaintain equipment (oil, grease, etc.) according to directions, established maintenance schedules and tracking in appropriate logsMaintain kitchen sanitation standards, leading others by example to perform daily, weekly and monthly cleaning tasks.Desire to learn more about baking and contribute to a collaborative teamDesire and willingness to work midnight-8amSKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Prior baking, pastry or kitchen experience preferred but not requiredMust be detail orientedExcellent communication is a must to support the teamWillingness to receive and follow directions while contributing to our positive and collaborative work environment.Perform general physical activities with speed and efficiency that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials and objects.OTHER REQUIREMENTS Full-time or part-time position consideredMust want to work graveyard hoursMust be able to lift 50 pounds or more and be on your feet most of the work day.BENEFITS Perks include coffee, food and merchandiseFlexibility in work scheduleEmployee discounts#J-18808-Ljbffr
