The Overnight Program Educator supports Nauticus’ overnight program by leading activities, engaging guests, and delivering high-quality educational experiences across four themed tracks. Educators facilitate programming aboard the Battleship Wisconsin and within the Maritime Discovery Center. This role focuses on youth engagement, learning, and ensuring an outstanding guest experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Program Facilitation
· Lead and support overnight programs, ensuring all activities are engaging, educational, and aligned with Nauticus’ mission.
· Deliver curriculum with quality and consistency.
· Assist with check-in and orientation.
· Help maintain activity materials, program spaces, and equipment.
· Work with the Overnight Manager and Education Team to ensure smooth and efficient program flow.
2. Guest Experience, Safety & Supervision
· Provide excellent customer service to youth, families, and chaperones.
· Communicate clearly and professionally with all guests.
· Provide and maintain a positive, welcoming, and mission-focused environment.
· Uphold all Nauticus safety protocols and guidelines.
· Assist in monitoring guest behavior and movement.
Skills and Qualifications:
· Experience working with youth programs, teaching, camps, or museums.
· Strong group facilitation and communication skills.
· Comfortable navigating ladders, stairs, and tight passageways.
· CPR/First Aid/AED (or willingness to obtain.)
· Ability to manage groups of children and adults in a dynamic environment.
· This position primarily requires availability on Friday and Saturday evenings, with occasional weeknight shifts as needed to support program operations
Hourly Rate Range:
$20 – $25 per hour
