Registered Nurse (RN) Overnight Support, Psychiatric Crisis ServicesAnnual Salary: $79,036 + $7,500 sign-on bonusShift Differential: Additional $2.50/hour for evening, overnight, and weekend hoursWork Hours: 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM, with alternating weekendsThe Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board is hiring a Registered Nurse for a full-time overnight position at the BJ Roberts Behavioral Health Center in Hampton, Virginia. The role supports both the regional Crisis Stabilization program and the 23-hour observation services, providing nursing care to adults experiencing behavioral health crises and co-occurring substance use disorders. You'll work alongside an interdisciplinary team committed to delivering safe, person-centered care in a therapeutic environment.ABOUT OUR ORGANIZATIONSince 1971, the Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board has provided essential, community-based services across the Peninsula. We serve individuals living with mental health conditions, developmental disabilities, and substance use disorders through a comprehensive continuum of care.The BJ Roberts Behavioral Health Center is designed to serve individuals experiencing acute mental health crises. It offers a range of urgent care services, including therapy, medication management, suicide prevention, and crisis intervention. Unlike traditional emergency rooms, the facility emphasizes a peaceful and therapeutic atmosphere.POSITION SUMMARYAs an overnight RN in the crisis stabilization center, you will provide direct nursing care to adults in acute behavioral health crisis. You'll partner closely with the psychiatrist and interdisciplinary team to manage medications, monitor patient status, and support stabilization efforts. Responsibilities include completing comprehensive health assessments, implementing and updating individualized care plans, and ensuring safe and accurate medication administration.
